Do you manscape?

I just bought a nose and ear hair trimmer because the crops are pretty unruly. Allergies plus nostril hair has me sneezing pretty often. The crab grass growing out of my ears are just plain nasty. I don't think trimming those hairs can be considered manscaping though.

I see guys with neatly trimmed and plucked eyebrows. That's what I call manscaping. Any of you he-men do this? Why for?

Pazuzu 09-15-2014 08:06 PM

Yeah...eyebrows. That's what I manscape...yeah...we'll just stick with that...

Let's just say that 100 degrees and 100% humidity makes...eyebrows...uncomfortable.

Ear hair and nose. When I think about it.

I think most folks consider "manscaping" to be the hair modifications that get done south of equator, but could also include stuff like chest hair and back hair.

I think that most anything one does to one's head is called "grooming".

As far as manscaping goes - when I am riding bike, I hate it when my MTB shorts grab hair and yank it out when I'm trying to move around on the saddle. The only cure for that is getting rid of the hair. So, during MTB season around here, I do southern hemisphere grooming. The rest of the year, no.

I don't pluck eyebrows, and I don't have ear hair (yet). I trim nose hair, and rarely let the hair on my head get longer than 2". No facial hair, either (at spousal request). All other hair not mentioned is left to do what it wants. :)

Sure. DocFluffer goes naked wood.

Would never touch the eyebrows though. Like them bushy.

That's what I first thought of when I saw the title of the thread, too. But then I realized it wasn't one that vash had started.

Cantdrv and vash are practically neighbors tho . . .

I don't do any hair trimming besides hair cut, shave, nose hairs when I see them.

However, I am thinking of shaving my legs.

This thread is what I love about this place. :D :D :D

Errant ear and nose hair is not a good thing. They need to be groomed. That's not what I would call "manscaping"

^ That ^ is what I'd call manscaping, and I plead the 5th. But I recommend that you use something like a Schick Quattro, because it's very, very difficult to cut yourself with that particular razor.

Yes, because you wouldn't want to nick your sack.

Ear and nose hair when needed, and occasionaly, an errant eyebrow hair. I keep the hair on my head about 1" long, and my legs are hairy. South of the border is clean shaven to prevent pinching and pulling.

onewhippedpuppy 09-16-2014 03:19 AM

Nose, no ear hair, wife buzzes my head with a #1 guard weekly. I'm otherwise all man baby!

Climate dictates certain areas be maintained.

One should also consider keeping underarm hair cropped short. If they are too bushy your deodorant just sits on a mat of hair and serves no purpose.

YMMV

GH85Carrera 09-16-2014 04:29 AM

When my wife complains about the "koala tufts" in my ears I will trim them. I have a mustache and beard that I trim up on occasion. The nose hairs have to be weed wacked or they start to tickle my nose. My barber trims my eyebrows when they get busy enough to block my vision. ;)

No trimming below the neck line.

Some of that subject matter should stay covered.
