This thread inspired me!
A few weeks ago I decided to send my son to his first race school/track day ever. I figured he would learn few things and it would help him learn how to handle a motorcycle. He's not really into racing but he did learn a few things and got the hang of it pretty quickly. He thought that it was fun for a day but has moved on to other things. I think that anyone who rides or plans to ride should do this at least once in order to develop some skills. |

A smart move, wayner.
Were they riding the school's bikes or their own? After my first track day, 30 some years ago, I rode completely differently on the streets. Much more cautiously - from then on. |
Don, he used the school's R6.
I agree. Mine was the class of 87, and after learning what I could do on the track, it seemed pointless to try and be a hero on the street. Kinda like going sky diving and then coming home and trying to show off to your friends by jumping off the front step.;) |
