Whatta POS. The front cylinder sure is running lean. I wonder how much power he has lost without the air cleaner.

I'm amazed people can ride crap like that and think they are having a good time.

That bike is such a turd that the owner probably couldn't care less what type of crap the motor sucked up. It's all just about makin' lots of noise anyway...

Around here, you could furnish a whole house with the stuff left on the sidewalks when the local college lets out for the summer.

That is the correct side for the shifter on an old Ironhead Sporty (Shovelhead was the big twin configuration that superseded the Panhead). Let's get our H-D model designations correct.

Here is my Ironhead Sportster with the shifter on the correct, right hand, side of the bike (I try to keep it in a little better shape than Denis likes to keep his):

It might surprise you but I really like your bike. A friend had one years ago and let me ride it, was pretty quick around town. I was surprised.

No kidding.
In my youth I used to scrounge studentville at move-out.
Once found a new white leather couch set on the curb (in plastic with delivery tags).

Lived in a basement and collected 10-15 trashed bikes from dumpsters.
Made 3-4 roadworthy ones from the parts.
That's where I started getting the mechanical bug I think.

Jeff, it wouldn't take long to take your aircleaner off, and you an Denis could go for a ride on Saturday. Meet some nice chicks and take 'em out for some Jack Daniels. You never know Denis's ol mattress out on the street might get to see some action after all :D
