Oh, I think most Alfisti loved the Montreal. But keeping it on the road is the big challenge. Other Alfa cars are easier to find parts for, which is why there aren't very many Montreals these days.

 . Decades ago I bought a red 2600 Alfa Spyder w/12k miles from an attorney's wife (birthday present from him and she didn't like it) for $2,600. It was immaculate. One of those that I dread having sold - no good storage for it.

First model year, 1955, 7th car off the line. 2 (sorta) owner car. Have had it 50 years. Pop hauled it out of a friends barn in Germany in 64'.

About 25 years ago my father was looking at the original bill of sale and noticed the car had been sold with the factory luggage set. He sent a letter off to the original owner who had passed away by that time but his widow responded with "there's something in the attic that sounds like what you are describing". A few weeks later a big box shows up with the complete luggage set looking like it had never been used. Score.
