Packin' Your (My) iPhone...

I did a cursory search for the old thread on cases, etc.
Gave up ....so here I am.
.
I became accustomed to having my old flip phone hanging around my neck, so I may try the same w/my "new" iPhone 5.
Here's what strikes me:
.
Amazon.com: iphone5 strap|poddities - iphone strap NETSUKE black|cell phone strap: Cell Phones & Accessories
.
There's a cheaper lanyard than the one below, that's a knock-off, offered on Amazon, but the reviews are sour.
Here's the one I like:
.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002UXQTQO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=WX4K0P82HHJ5&coliid=I3NCPCFOZDHXQT
.
BTW, was cleaning my pool earlier with the debris net and damn near fell in. I best not be carrying my iPhone when working around the house.

Interesting, I've never seen a lanyard attachment for an iPhone. Check those little screws from time to time, I can't imagine they are designed to resist much load.

Those screws are my concern, too. They are longer...but even so, my concern remains.
Still looking for a secure neck lanyard.

This looks appealing. I'd buy two (ea) and loop a lanyard through both.
Whatcha think?

Id be afraid of the threads getting pulled out if the aluminum case of the phone. Once that happens you are toast. A protective case with a loop is your best bet.

My consideration, as well. Thanks.

Nah... The air-cooled Porsche owners have been down that road before with their head-studs. There's probably a timesert in that size!

Interesting how Amazon can sell these for $12 or so and those injected things cost $40+ made by Candy Shell and whomever.

That aluminum bumper is pretty cool-looking in a steampunk kinda way. And I like the buttons/switch implementation. But calling it a "bumper" is a misnomer--that thing will transmit every little impact straight through to the phone. Which means all you have now is a bigger device that you need to avoid bumping into things.

The amazon reviews say that it's rather crappy. Too bad. I like it.
.
Edit: It looks machined, but apparently not.
