Does anyone know a site to search on a doctor/surgeon infor such as malpractice, comments, feedback, etc?

I was speaking to my neighbor who defends MD's in malpractice. There is a National database somewhere that chronicles all malpractice claims. Don't know how to get my hands on it however.

It is scary when you follow the simple math. 1/2 of the doctors out there graduated in the bottom 1/2 of the class. That applies to every other profession as well. I saw a statistic that malpractice kills more people every year than guns and car crashes combined every year.

The Data Bank - Homepage is the database mentioned above. Some of the other sites are not reliable for surgeons ( jerks who are technically excellent get lower scores than less skilled but friendlier surgeons.). Better yet, ask around.

Hey you're welcome. Also if it is for a specific type of surgery you can also find a society or website related to it and search for surgeons there who are more likely to be really involved or interested (& hopefully better) in the topic.
