Anyone want a 2014 991 Targa?

Pelicans usually don't buy new(ish) 911s, but it's worth passing along

2014 Carrera C4S Targa, PDK

2,650 miles

Was $140K new and over a year wait

$129K

You could maybe post it here

Nah, it's really just a point of interest for you guys. No one here is going to buy it. Just a neat find

scottmandue 10-14-2014 10:55 AM

That is one bad arsh ride!
It would be at the top of my list of "price is no object" automobiles.

jwasbury 10-14-2014 11:01 AM

I really like the new targa, but it bugs me that its only offered in AWD. Why no RWD targa?

I know you are the expert in these matters... but all that stuff about how much a car (any car) depreciates when you drive it off the lot.
I know this is a special case (and car) but only $15K drop in a $140K car?

I will own that vintage Targa in exactly seven years should I still be upright and engaged on this mortal coil.

I am a Targa guy. It will be my 65th birthday present to me. I will buy one from Onewhippedpuppy albeit with different wheels.. :D

There was a good article in Pano about how they figured out Targa people drive them all year round. So they made an AWD version only to differentiate it from the Cab. Something like that.

Does the A/C work?

porsche930dude 10-14-2014 01:01 PM

yeah they could have knocked another 20k or so off of it if they didnt have that stupid power top.

Same but my time frame is shorter...

JavaBrewer 10-14-2014 02:23 PM

I'll snap that up when it depreciates into the low $20s

speeder 10-14-2014 03:18 PM

Have you guys seen the power top in action on one of those? So cool.

You calling us cheap? I could buy that pile with change scrounged from my dirty pants heap.

Scuba Steve 10-14-2014 04:18 PM

It looks really nice but... Automatic? :(

I'm with you Java. Last Wednesday I experienced a $64,000 depreciation on my wife's 2007 997S. I'll NEVER do that again! No more Porsches under 30 years old for me.

masraum 10-14-2014 04:45 PM

The new targas look VERY sharp in person. I saw one when I picked up my boxster. If I had a lot more money, I might want one.

I have no doubt that most Pelicans *could* buy it, but reasonably assured that we wouldn't. At least not those of us who frequent PPOT. It's not an insult of any kind, quite the contrary.

onewhippedpuppy 10-14-2014 05:08 PM

That's a great looking 911, they nailed the styling on the Targa. People that can just piss away that much money in depreciation and barely drive the car amaze me.

I'm fairly certain you will outlive me. Better hurry!:D

How long until the roof seals leak? ;)
