I have some friends who went to every game in KC, and they could not stop commenting on how gracious the Royals fans, and the whole city, were.
Very classy, like turning the Kaufmann fountains orange last night, who does that anymore?
You guys have the nucleus to be very good for a long time...enjoy!
A couple of asides,
Who was the dude that showed up to every game with behind the plate tickets...in Marlins gear?
Kc has some hot female fans.
Joe Panik solidified the Giants lineup and overall was one of the biggest reasons for their success.
5 months till spring training.

Good post, and I totally agree. It was a great series full of excellent fundamental baseball. As much as I wish the Royals had won, I tip my hat to the Giants. Excellent ballclub and organization, hard to argue with three titles in five years. Bumgarner is simply incredible, I can't recall ever seeing a pitcher so thoroughly dominate opposing hitters.

Baseball does have a degree of respect and class that is sadly missing from the other major sports.

I'd like to offer congrats and thanks to the royals. They played awesome. Darn entertaining.

I hope the Royals can keep their roster in tack (for the most part) but getting to a WS and showcasing talent usually means guys leaving for the big $$$

And thanks to the Giants for today's parade. Traffic will be crushed. Boss offered me a free day off to avoid the bridge. We all win!

I think the Post Season play as a whole was some of the best baseball I've seen in a long time.

The KC Royals can and should hold their heads up high. They had an incredible season and came thisclose to winning the WS. A pitcher like that comes along once in a generation, (if that), they came up against an immovable force.

I am a baseball fan, also a life-long Giant fan: The series was fun. I was in Sacramento all week so I could actually stay up and watch the games!

Also, I now have an American League team to root for...

Even more conspicuous given the late Tom Clancy's association with the team and your military background. Really you have no choice but to root for 'dem Ohs.
