What a freaking run! Bring on the World Series! I love watching them play, it's just good old fashioned team baseball. After eight straight wins, it's hard to imagine a hotter team.

The best catch they made so far.......lightning in a bottle. They look unbeatable.

Glad to see it.

Some of us are still holding a 29 yr. old grudge. As soon as the Cards deal with San Fran, it's payback time.

It may be an I-70 series, but you'll have to go WEST instead of East to get to SF out of KC.

If SF holds on tonight, I would tend to agree.

In that case, turn west on I-70. Can the Cards do what the Giants did to them 2 years ago? Not likely, obviously. I don't think the Giants would roll over against KC. It's an even year, after all. MadBum will put an end to the KC win streak.

Lifetime O's fan. Grew up in Bmore.

It seemed every hit from the Royals was a broken bat blooper.
Then the error last night. A catcher is supposed to CATCH the ball.
And the O's DH. 4 at bats and responsible for 6 outs?
Shouldn't the DH be a good hitter?
Designated HITTER should HIT the ball; a CATCHER should CATCH the ball.

But still a great season. Only one team can win it all, the rest are losers!

Now I will cheer for the Royals. Played good ball and definitely deserve to be there.

I would like a Cards/Royals series.

As a life-long Giants, I think what the Royals have done is really neat...I like their brand of baseball.

Right up until next week...death to the Monarchy :D

BTW, I am so glad there is good baseball in the DC/Baltimore area: I went to two games for each club this year and had a great time: Nothing like Camden Yards.

Great season but wow the Royals are on fire. The O's couldnt buy a hit and KC's defense was impressive.

I am still mourning the 1985 ALCS . . .

But I am excited for Royals fans. I love Kauffman Stadium.

I can't even imagine what 30 years of pent up demand is going to do to those second hand prices. :eek:

Supposedly the lowest price on Stubhub is about $750.

As an O's fan I have to say I think we made KC look better than they are. Lousy play overall when it came to the little things hurt us. We just didn't look like a major league team.

Watching the SF/SL game last night really brought that to light. SF had pudgy infielders (sorry, don't follow NL baseball so don't recall the guys name) making perfect throws even when off balance while our O's struggled to get infield throws above the knees on routine plays. The fundamentals just weren't there.

KC had a great run but I think they're about to hit a wall and wake up from the fantasy.

I think this is going to be one of the best series we've seen in a long time based on the playoffs so far. I can't remember when there've been so many good close ball games that went right down to the wire.

My prediction is KC is getting routed.

Gonna root for them but I think they are going to be roughed up pretty good.

I've had some very nice offers for them. I have tickets for all 4 home games. Where going to game 1 & 2 if the reach games 6 or 7 I will be selling those.

I see it the other way. I think we made you look bad. The bad throws where rushed because of our speed. And lets face it in the 2 games in Baltimore we just flat out out played you. We got the big hits and made the plays on defense when we need to and Baltimore didn't it was that simple. Playing the Giants will be a fun series they play a very similar style of baseball as Kansas City. Kansas City In 7

we looked bad because we played bad. no excuse for crappy throws like we saw. it's MLB, not rec ball where everybody makes the team.

the one skill I saw that was above average for mlb with KC was speed in the outfield. for all the talk about base running speed our 2nd string catcher busted your fastest guy and I think it just wasn't a factor.

No question O's didn't show up like KC did.

Like I said rooting for kc. Read an article about one of their players playing catch with little kids who had on O's shirts at opacy before the game...that's a class act right there.

royals never really showed up. bummer. that first inning was rough.

Yes. My biggest fear was that the long break would cause them to lose the amazing momentum that they built over the last few weeks. I think that fear has been realized.

I'm still rooting for them. That was only game one! Six more to go!
