I love my country but scared of the asshats that run it and the wankers they give guns, badges and tanks to.

I know there are a lot of cop haters in the world and sometimes with good reason but this officer is a credit to his department and to the profession in general. He was patient and understanding and went above and beyond to please this man. I believe the idiot who made the video was hoping for a violent out burst from the officer and what he got was just the opposite.

I think if this is a real video I agree.
The cop was a good guy. How ever it is a valid concern not to have plates or something that defines it as a real working car

Regarding the legality of unmarked Police cars.
FindLaw.com Are Unmarked Police Cars Legal? By Aditi Mukherji, JD on July 15, 2013 11:53 AM Unmarked police cars are used for a variety of traffic law enforcement purposes, ranging from catching drivers committing violations to promoting traffic safety. But are unmarked police cars legal? The answer may depend on factors such as which state you're in, what time of day it is, and what the unmarked vehicle is being used for. Common Uses Generally speaking, a police car is considered unmarked if it doesn't have fixed, visible flashing lights, a siren that emits a loud signal, or prominent markings that identify it as a police vehicle. In many states, unmarked police cars are regularly used for the routine stopping of drivers for traffic violations like speeding. In New York, for example, unmarked state police SUVs are now being used to catch texting drivers. Police officers also use unmarked cars to stop drivers suspected of a penal law violation or whose behavior presents a threat to public safety. Restrictions In some states, however, police officers in unmarked cars have specific rules they must follow. These differ from the rules for other police vehicles, both at the state and city levels. "The troopers that are issued unmarked cars are given extra instructions on just that thing," a veteran trooper with the Iowa State Patrol told USA Today. Such special restrictions may include only using the unmarked cars during daylight hours. Other states like New York place few, if any, restrictions on the use of unmarked police cars. States like Ohio, on the other hand, require all police vehicles to be "marked in some distinctive manner" and equipped with a flashing or rotating colored light. California Laws Concerning Police Cars By Carrie Glossmanz, eHow Contributor Read more : http://www.ehow.com/facts_7619412_california-laws-concerning-police-cars.html Unmarked Cars Unmarked cars are legal in California and undercover officers have the authority to pull drivers over, which they usually do using hand signals. As part of California Vehicle Code Section 40804, any officer whose primary duty is maintaining traffic and enforcing the vehicle code must be in a marked car and in uniform. If the officer in charge of enforcing vehicle code is not in a marked car, their citation will not be valid and they may not be a witness in a trial for any citation they issue while in the unmarked car. Misconceptions Section 40804 of California vehicle code is sometimes interpreted as meaning that no officers in unmarked cars can issue traffic citations, including speeding offenses. (ref4) This is not true, as officers in unmarked cars can perform this duty as long as their primary law enforcement duty is something other than enforcing the vehicle code. California Vehicle Code Section 40804
40804. (a) In any prosecution under this code upon a charge involving the speed of a vehicle, an officer or other person shall be incompetent as a witness if the testimony is based upon or obtained from or by the maintenance or use of a speed trap. (b) An officer arresting, or participating or assisting in the arrest of, a person so charged while on duty for the exclusive or main purpose of enforcing the provisions of Divisions 10 (commencing with Section 20000) and 11 (commencing with Section 21000) is incompetent as a witness if at the time of that arrest he was not wearing a distinctive uniform, or was using a motor vehicle not painted the distinctive color specified by the commissioner. (c) This section does not apply to an officer assigned exclusively to the duty of investigating and securing evidence in reference to the theft of a vehicle or failure of a person to stop in the event of an accident or violation of Section 23109 or 23109.1 or in reference to a felony charge or to an officer engaged in serving a warrant when the officer is not engaged in patrolling the highways for the purpose of enforcing the traffic laws.

Really. So when the cop beats the crap out of YOU for doing something stupid, will you come running to us and say "police brutality" . Get real. I'm kind of happy this citizen called this guy out, if it was against the law. Because as we all know "COPS ARE ABOVE THE LAW, AND DONT YOU FORGET IT" .

Idiot, if you ask me. This guy need to get a job or to spend sometime at the soup kitchen or something. If the cop is beating the hell out of someone for no reason, then by all means, step in ans do something about it. From the way it looks the cop is just driving along some street and this guy has to try and bait him to get a reaction out of him. I was out to lunch with my wife today and saw a bunch of firemen sitting around having lunch only to notice their fire engine was parked on the red zone on the side of this street. My wife made a comment about their parking location. This was a big old firetruck. Its not in anyone's way. I suppose people like this idiot can go and complain about that too? Where and when do we stop sweat the small stuff?

And one for the extreme-
Last weeks news: Citizens block a Chicago expressway ramp to stop a VEHICLE DRIVING THE WRONG WAY. The lunatic driver IS a CHICAGO COP....and was DRUNK! (see news report clip) Danny Sevilla, Chicago police officer, charged with DUI, driving wrong way on I-57 | abc7chicago.com Friday, October 17, 2014 10:52AM CHICAGO (WLS) -- In an ABC7 Eyewitness News exclusive, one of the men who helped stop a Chicago police officer who was allegedly drunk and driving the wrong way on I-57 shares his story. It happened early Friday morning at 111th Street. Jujuan Williams said he had to veer out of the way to avoid the oncoming SUV. ABC7 obtained exclusive video of Officer Danny Sevilla after his arrest. Sevilla has been charged with driving under the influence. "It was disturbing to say the least," Williams said. "I just didn't think that someone of his stature would do something like that." Williams recorded cell phone video of Sevilla taking a sobriety test. He thinks he and the other driver saved lives with their actions. Illinois State Police say Sevilla, 33, drove his black Mitsubishi Outlander the wrong way down a long ramp onto I-57 near 111th around 5:45 a.m. Friday. State police said no one was injured and Sevilla was alone. Sevilla was seen leaving the Blue Island Police Station, where he was held by Illinois State Police. Sevilla hid in the backseat as he was taken out in an unmarked patrol car driven by internal affairs. The Chicago Police Department says Sevilla has been relieved of his police powers and placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation. BTW: Illinois, Chicago area has had a judge and police chief who have been busted - MULTIPLE DUI and get the free ride. I do know of those incidents but its anyone's guess how many others not known or released info. But..... a few years back, one of which was head of a DUI task force, got so literally slammed he ended his life. Easy to guessed how, crash while drunk.

There's zero reason why any cop should be beating the crap out of anyone. There's no place for it in today's world. If a citizen is doing something wrong, to the extent that they require immobilization, proper use of force is required. That does not include 'beating the crap' out of someone. A taser is usually sufficient.

One thing this video does demonstrate, is that people can be held more accountable when there's a video camera running and Youtube for others to view it. I can pretty much guarantee you that this Sheriff's reaction would have been much different if the guy hadn't been videotaping the exchange. That's a good thing.

People need to know the law as it applies to them and yes, video taping is a god send for innocent citizens when the Police abuse their power.
