AL 17 - MS 23 .... MS is 5 and 0 for the first time since JFK was president... congrats on a great win.
That was a fantastic game from beginning to end... the Rebels started strong and both teams battled hard all the way through, overcoming turnovers, missed field goals, and MS never gave up and finished strong. I watched the whole thing... and when it was over and the MS fans were hopping the wall and running on the field going nuts, I was thinking "this is why we love college football." Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Ole Miss Rebels - Recap - October 04, 2014 - ESPN Edit... but hold the phone... Jim, you were talking about that happened in Starkeville... that was a great win also... but never in doubt, IMO... I didn't think TX A&M had anything for y'all. MSState 48 - TX A&M 31.

In a house full of 'Bama alum and fans.
I disappeared to my own spot for the rest of the night after the game ended. I think they're still downstairs consoling each other. Kudos to Ole Miss. |

G'day!

This is why the NFL can't touch college football.
I was at a get together last night and included in the guests was a starting offensive lineman for UT who played with Peyton. A bunch of us discussed today's games and I stated the significance of the Mississippi games today - and that Ole Miss's last 2 losses to Bama were in T-town because of the scheduling when aTm and Mizzou were added to the league and this was going to be a huge opportunity for them. The former UT player is a great guy. Our game today with UT was significant because we finally benched our junior starting QB (Driskel) for the freshman QB (Harris) - after 3 interceptions. But getting back to Mississippi - congrats to the Magnolia State today - the SEC West is very competitive and those wins today were GOLDEN! Still a lot of season left to play......

The Dawgs beat down the gag'em ups.
I felt the need to take a nap after seeing the non face mask call resulting in a Bama TD just before half. Figured Bama had the refs in their pocket and the game was in the bag. It was nice to hear Ole Miss pull it out. Hotty Toddy!

Go Dogs! I spent a year at MSU in the 80's.
There is a reason they call it Starkville. ![]()

I like ole miss' coach attitude...doesn't go nuts with win predictions. Just says his team can "compete" with top notch opponents. Hopefully Bo Wallace can remain consistent like the defense has shown.

Looks like deja vu all over again. Got awfully quiet for 100,000 aggies at halftime.
Since mississippi is always at the bottom of every national poll (literacy ...obesity. ....poverty....income), let us enjoy it for one more wee Hotty toddy ! Go Dawgs!

I'm flanked by an Alabama house on one side of me and and several Auburn households on the other. I'm a 3rd generation Ole Miss graduate and will be laying low for a while. I've already taken the Ole Miss Alumni decals off the cars (seriously). If Ole Miss beats Auburn, I may have to consider moving
