Excellent.

My MacBook Pro suffered the flaky WIFI issue after Yosemite.

It would just randomly drop the connection.

After a day of monitoring seemed the radio was fine, low level traffic like ping worked but not everything.

SMC reset fixed it.

I do want to find the people in Cupertino responsible for signing off on the new Finder Icon and kick them in the nuts.

Effin terrible. Downright embarrassing.

Well.. I need to download photoshop for some work... And damn if it didn't force me to migrate up to Yosemite! :( My install hung with 8 mins remaining overnight, but a reboot this morning and it reinstalled perfectly. Seems all my info is still here too! So far so good...

I removed Avast anti-virus, and that has helped a lot. But I'm still having issues. When using a web browser, either Safari or Chrome, it will hang up and I get the spinning beach ball. The box is totally unresponsive, and I can't even bring up force quit using keystrokes. Frees itself after about a minutes. Slowly plugging away at it.

Bring up Activity Monitor.

Sort descending on %CPU.

See if a process is being a hog.

Kill it.

FYI, Each instance of Google Chrome Helper is an open browser window, they'll show Not Responding when they are idle but still suck resources.

Done that. Nothing has the CPU pegged. I honestly don't think its a resource issue.

I changed settings in Chrome so that plugins are manually launched.
