Picked up this race suit-is it worth anything?

I picked up this Simpson race suit today. Being that my biggest aspiration in terms of the track is to do same DE's and autocrosses, I am considering selling it.

Any idea how much theses sell for? I looked on ebay and the prices seem to be everywhere.

The arm patch reads sfi manufacturer certified 3-2A/5. There are no rips or tears.

Thanks

This suit is about 15 years old, I'd say. While it has a high rating and still is functional, it certainly is out of style.

If you run DE, I would wear it. I have seen quite a few fires in DEs. It will work better at protecting you than $50 in your pocket from Ebay.

The suit has value only to some DE guy who want's to look like a racer. It's probably 10-15 years old and likely far too outdated to be legal in any sanctioned Porsche club racing. But Like Aigel said…better protection than Levis and a long sleeved cotton tee shirt.

Simpson is on the low-end to start with. You can get that suit brand new for $249.

I am going to keep them for working in the garage in winter. They are amazingly warm.
