I don't think I ever thanked my dad for moving us to California way back in '56.
This is Connecticut way back in '55.

Life is great when you're wearing your coat year 'round. March 2013 in Chicago.

Was hoping someone from near Buffalo would post an image!! Amazing that 10 miles can make such a difference.

We don't get much here, but in 2004 it snowed, a bunch, on Christmas Eve. It was actually pretty magical.

Clearly, I didn't take this pic

I lived in NoVA for a few years when I was in HS, and got the chance to drive in some snow.

WHen I was younger, I lived in Northern Japan (pretty much the northern tip of the main island). I lived there the year that I believe still holds the record for winter snowfall (240" over the whole winter). I remember as an 8 year old walking on the sidewalks and not being able to see over the snow. The mounds of snow on the side of the road from the snow plows and blowers must have been 8-10' tall.

Begining of the winter that year.

This was the following year.

These are from the Sapporo Snow Festival.

^those were made of snow, packed and then sometimes sprayed with water after.
These are ice sculptures

Agreed. I popped into Detroit yesterday for a quick in/out meeting. Return flight canceled. After a surprise overnight stay, this morning my rescheduled flight was cancelled. Now I am flying to LaGuardia to get another flight home . . .

I hate snow. I hate winter. Insert a string of expletives HERE.
