Thanks all!!! and yes, I have checked all my coursework at least 20 times in the last two days looking for assignments I might have missed etc!! I have been walking around the past two days not knowing what to do with myself. I swear I have perused the entire internet and this afternoon I was just sitting there in front of the screen thinking to myself, 'What the heck do I do now?' It still hasn't hit me yet. All of my grades have come in except one class and I had a 92 going into the final so hopefully all will be good.

It was fun to be in class with 20 year olds who think they have it all figured out. Especially the aviation industry. There were a few 40-50 somethings in most classes and instead of squashing their dreams with a dose of reality, we just sat back and chuckled.

There was no way I was in the mindset to attend college right out of high school. Someone mentioned earlier that you will definitely get more out of it at an older age and I totally agree. the problem was I actually wanted to learn but when I invested time I would get behind in other classes. Everyone told me, you don't have time to 'learn', just study what you have to know for the test and pass the class. That being said, I will go back and go deeper into a few subjects that peaked my interest.

Major respect for that. I'd like to go back to college but it would be so hard not to be able to bang some of the talent like the first time around.

Do it. getting an AAS In Aviation Maintenance Technology VS a cert is usually a few extra math classes, english and humanities. It took me 2 extra semesters to score that. Then as long as you have a reasonable GPA automatic acceptance in certain 4 year and then a BAS degree. You can rip it out pretty damn quick.

Walk with your fellow graduates.

I did not want to, but did. Little did I know, a lifetime friend of the family, delivered the commencement.

I, too, wake in the night about unfinished business.

Congratulations! That is really quite the accomplishment. I witnessed the struggle my wife went through when she went back to school for another degree ( accounting) and then follow-on M.S in accounting. I know first hand the challenge and commitment required. So, hat;s off to you my friend!

Good on you!

Most prof's will tell you older/returning students are often the best students.

I was a slow learner my own self - first college class in 1961, graduated in 2007 at age 63. And, I wasn't even the oldest in my graduating class! Old farts rule.

Edit - I bought my 911 as a graduation present.

That dream means all your fancy aspirations are slipping away from you, as you live your hum drum ordinary life. Of course for Obama it is a wide awake nightmare...
