Guy wrecks Hellcat an hour after getting it
That did not take long. First Hellcat sold in Colorado.
|
Whew! Only a car. I thought we lost a vintage WWII fighter!
|
707 HP is just crazy in a street car. I fully support the freedom to build and sell a 707 HP car but he just raised the insurance premium for every other buyer.
I hope his insurance premium stays high for the rest of his life. |

He should have picked Another color.

When I bought the 911 I drove it like I had no idea what she would do in certain situations, because that was the truth. I slowly learned her manners, or lack there of. Oh wait that is common sense, we have no place for that today
|
Supposedly the 707 hp is locked out until the car has 500 miles on it, so I assume he did this in 500hp mode. May have been uglier in 707 mode........
|
Will Hellcat motor fit in an E30?
|
At least he can't blame it on the other driver.....
|
Must not handle very well. The speed limit was only 40 mph where the car went off the road. ;)
Best Les |
Speed limit was 40, yeah, that looks like a 40 mph crash.
"conditions were reportedly clear at the time and it’s not known if speed was a factor or not." |

In 2006, I remember Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears had a Lamborghini that was in a custom shop where I had my Porsche getting painted. Beautiful car. Two days later, I saw it in pieces. Lance apparently didn't know how to drive a manual transmission let alone the car. He hit an underpass driving on the highway at high speed. He wasn't hurt , he walked away and left the car. The story was he was dazed. There was no ticket, arrest, etc. The car was a mess.

Cold tires + too much throttle?
edit--The Hellcat, not the Lambo. |

For sure the only problem was the loose nut behind the steering wheel. No doubt he will sue because the car is unsafe and hard to drive. |

This happened outside my office last Tuesday. Eurocar is across the street from us - as is Ferrari/Maserati of Newport Beach. https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...bb232cccbf4f31 https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...dd&oe=54FB9EAA |
That don't look good. Broken rear suspension from hopping the curb?
|
I almost put that "they were good tires" quote in the OP

Wow, one hour. Is that even enough time to call your ins co to add on the car to your policy?
Glad no one was hurt. And down to the 2nd page and not one "buff right out" comment, yet? |

One of my car buddies said he heard that the Hellcat was being allocated to one car per state/province.
|
I think Dodge is actually trying to keep the gouging to a minimum with this three-part allocation idea:

I wonder if a Hellcat drivetrain would fit into an XJ6.....
