Do you mean something that is self aware like us but is not like us?
... Maybe made of something that on Earth is not living? (like silica)

Or do you mean there is a "force" like in Star Wars? That is a collective conscience that a lot of beings are a part of or get information from?

Or do you mean there is something behind the "design" of the Universe and everything in it?
... (I'm not talking about God here. More like a very advanced architect, designer or engineer)
