Porsche 911 Revell 1/25 Scale Model Score

Found this at a small town flea market Saturday morning. The box is beat up but I think the model is complete. Copyright on the Box is 1970 Venice Calf. It's pretty cool, I bet I built a couple of these as a kid 42 two years ago.

Whats this worth ?

I don't know if I should build the model or find some one that collects this type of thing. I have a few metal 911's models.

Its worth what you paid for it.

The quality of those old Revell kits isnt all that great and they made a lot of them. Build it and enjoy.

If you are looking for a nice, reasonably priced 1/25th scale 911 model, check out the Fujimi enthusiast series. They make a variety of them using the same basic tooling.

FWIW, I go this model on eBay 2 yrs ago for $25 (about what any new model kit costs around here). It is very detailed with headlight/spoiler/tail options. I plan to build it to match my own car... when I find the time. So far I have just painted the body shell in RubinRot Metallic.

Got the same model. Wife picked it up at a garage sale years ago.

I had the kit years ago. I built mine into a IMSA GTU car. I couldn't leave it well enough alone

I've been selling off my Porsche model collection of plastic kits and diecast the past few months and I had about 6 of these. I put them on ebay and got $5 for each one. The Revell was probably the poorest quality of all the kits and Fujimi is the best.
I've still got a few left......

Thanks, but that isn't it. I used to own this one:

Sorry MT for the diversion. Model you bought is cool, I'd have snatched it up at a fleamarket too.

First.....My apologies to MT930 also. I didn't mean to do such a blatant hijack!

Second....That's a beauty and I'm sorry I don't have a model of it.

Third....If anyone is interested in any of my models, PLEASE just PM me and let this thread sort of get back to the OP.

I bought a mint-in-box version of that exact Revell 911 kit on eBay a year ago for 25 bucks.

Got mine for $1 at a garage sale two weeks ago. I think the value is going down as we speak!

I built this GTU 911 in about 1976 from one of the Revell kits. The van and trailer were from an AMT dragster kit.
