So I've got one for the group. I can't CTRL-C out of a running task in the terminal, for instance a simple ping command I have shut down the window, or kill the task from another window.
(This is since Yosemite, Mavricks works fine on my work laptop) |
Interesting that this thread should pop up again. Dropbox and other apps crash in Yosemite, so Apple issued an update. I installed it this morning. Was supposed to take less than an hour. The progress bar seized up at "Time left, less than a minute" and sat there for an hour. I finally had to unplug it and restart to get it back to a functioning screen. Yosemite is giving Windows a run for it's money in the race to release product that is not ready to be released competition. I've never had so much trouble with an Apple product.

something isn't right here. Although I really don't like the feel and some functions of Yosemite, I have had no problems what so ever with it and I'm running it on a 6 year old macbook pro. Gotta be some else wrong with your computer..

I love to read these kind of tech threads now 'n then.
Whenever I feel full of myself and get all arrogant and think that I know it all... Well, I get straightened out. . Bloody unreal...in my little world. WTF are you guys talkin' about? . :D . Carry on. |
This is on your old Mac, or your brand new one?
I'm running Yosemite on a four year old Mac mini with no problems. Quote:

OK so I figured this out, the physical CTRL key is dead on my keyboard. This is not surprising since the down arrow quit a few months ago. I'll just order a new keyboard. |

Over an hour with tech support screen sharing and my issues seem to be repaired, fingers crossed.
Tech was nice guy, good communication skills and a thick skin. |
