BMW i8 sighting:

Not sure if this car has been covered here already but this is the first I've ever seen of it. Granted, I don't read car mags anymore. Electric or hybrid(?) high performance Beemer, pretty striking in person. They were shooting it for an ad downtown today. It has gullwing doors, is very fast and will be expensive, all gleaned from talking to the people working the commercial.

That bar it's parked in front of has a great selection of Belgian beers and good food.

Next time you're coming to The Little Bear, (or just the 'hood), let me know. My good friend lives in the building.

Like a Mitsubishi? Ahh, I don't think so. At least not in person, that's for sure.

More like the Batmobile.

Thing was getting car-azy attention on the street, not an easy feat in car jaded L.A.:

I've seen a silver one on PCH and on Mulholland. The one on Mulholland was motoring pretty good and sounded nice. Much better than a normal four banger sound- more like a 6. It's a turbo 3 that I think is only ever coupled to a generator to drive the electric motors, not a direct connection to the wheels.

Pretty cool looking. Much cooler than the new BMW that I saw the other day.

I first saw one in a TV ad that was part of the Sochi Olympics programming.

So I looked it up and found out it was a hybrid.

$100k would be a pretty good down payment on that car.
