Pelican Parts OT. Frequently more up to date and better expert opinions. Mainstream news sources are crap.

Interestingly, during incidents such as the Boston Bombings, or the Paris attacks, the info on Pelican was significantly ahead on MSM in Australia. In those situations, Pelican Off Topic takes the role of an aggregator news service.

BBC, CNN, San Diego UT for local news, and Huff Post for laughs. Agree that Pelican OT can be pretty informative as well.

I don't follow world news for the same reason I don't visit PARF, There is very little uplifting news or attitudes in either. I don't need to be up to date on the latest developments of a French shootout, or another Asian jetliner going down. Honestly, I had no idea either had happened until I saw a post on this forum about each. I'm just not a newshound.

BBC and NPR. Recently gave up on CNN as I hate scrolling news and their new format. not to mention it is starting to look like People magazine.

This. And I take whatever headline Drudge states with a grain of salt (i.e. read the actual article).

Google News on occasion. I mostly prefer science news.

I agree, and CNN's not so subtle editorializing is sounding more like Fox all the time. I was watching last night and they announced, "Shocking developments from ......"
Just tell me what happened. I'll decide whether it is shocking or not.

I'll bet Ted Turner is not happy with what became of his creation.

If you are the father of a teenage son you should watch this special report from the Onion. If you love him, let him know that there are special extra-large condoms so even he can practice safe sex.

They just changed their mobile version and it sucks now. Very slow to load and seems unstable on my iPhone 4S.

I read Fox News, USA Today, BBC (and CNN until a few days ago).
