D-Bag Parker Get's Death Threat

The good 'ole Constitution State proved itself to be full of hatred toward D-Bag parkers. This State Rep., got caught red handed. The best part is he then lied to the news about his actions. A congressman lying to protect himself...never!

IIRC, the mirrors on a 5-Series don't fold unless the car is turned off and locked?

Anywhoo, good for a giggle:

State Rep gets death threats after parking in handicap spot

I agree, it's a douche bag move but on the other side of the coin, show me someone who's handicapped that can't find a parking space. I think the outrage here is out of proportion.

There is often a car in every handicap spot at busy places. Drive a car with a handicap person in the car and you will soon see full parking lots and no place to park.

That hasn't been my observation. I think the bigger problem is people that get the placard that don't really need it.

Hard to find a handicapped space free at:

1) Any medical facility
2) Costco
3) Any Casino

Yep.

Well I don't know anything about Costco since there are none of them around here. Sam's has a ton of spots and they always seem to be full. No doubt a lot of folks get a placard only because they have some minor medical reason.

When I had my hip replaced I had a temporary handicap tag for a few months. More than a few times at a popular restaurant I could not find a handicap spot. I quit using that placard long before it expired.

My MIL is 85 and has had back surgery and a quadruple heart bypass. She walks real slow due to the pain and deserves a handicap placard. When we go out to eat we park in a spot for her needs. More than a few times I have to just drop her at the front door and go find a spot in the back of the lot because lazy people want the handicap spots.

I know of one acquaintance that had some minor injury years back, He convinced some doctor he needed a handicap placard. He is very capable of walking a little further but he thinks he is special and deserves to park in the handicap spots. I have told him I think he is a bum for doing that but he does not care. It is legal, just not right.

My mom has a placard as she had a triple bypass as well as several problems with her legs. She can walk but it is difficult for her to go too far.

When we get together I usually drive and she brings her placard. Most times I drop her off and then park elsewhere if it is reasonable. I have the right to use the spot but I would rather let a driver that needs it park there.

I see mostly obese people parking in the HC spots, then waddle over to an electric cart.
Ironically, they are the ones who really need to walk a little more.

All one needs is a note from the doctor to get a handicap plaque. I think there should be some test standards. Like you need to be in a wheelchair!

Most folks who I know have them probably could easily do without. But I would never park in a handicap space and as a politician, well yeah.......... the free cheese thing.

The ones I love are the ones that sit there with the car running while momma goes in to buy a six pack w/ food stamps.

He's a d bag!!

I agree with your point, it is way too easy to get the permit. A wheelchair is way too far however. Many people have real bad knees or hips and can't walk very far without pain. Heart problems or lung problems make walking harder.

I had my hip replaced and it was a couple of months before I could walk without a cane. Once I got to that point I quit using my handicap permit. It was valid for many months longer.

I don't pay much attention to it. I park out in the boonies and walk because I don't want to BE handicapped. My wife should have had a handicapped card - she was driving impaired.
