New Leatherman Watch

Cool concept.

Not going to be rebuilding a tranny with it.

At least it's TSA approved.

nynor 01-24-2015 04:12 PM

i like it.

Nostril Cheese 01-24-2015 04:34 PM

Awesome idea. My Leatherman gets used more than any other tool I have. Fantastic warranty as well.

unclebilly 01-24-2015 05:49 PM

Really cool idea.

Well, at least until the TSA agent you get (and his/her supervisor) say it's not. :p

nynor 01-24-2015 07:08 PM

i had assumed that you were. i had pictured a pair of shorts like that wristband, with pointy bits everywhere around my junk.

I've carried this all around the world through TSA.

Yep, I've carried the Swisstech utili-key several times myself and never had a problem.

As a test of the system, when we came home from Malaysia last month, one of my colleagues tried to get through security with a lighter in his pocket...

Kuala Lumpur - no problem.
Hong Kong - no problem.
Vancouver - no problem.

onewhippedpuppy 01-25-2015 04:43 AM

Cool concept that I can't see myself ever buying.

This from the same folks that put a phone on your camera (I may have that bakkerds).

My watches are watches. Nothing else. They don't multi-task.

Most things that do everything do none of it well.

be excellent at one thing-
or average at many-
your choice-

have destroyed 8 leatherman wave multi tools, each was returned to the factory and replaced for a new one-

Geronimo '74 01-25-2015 12:46 PM

Thing is, to disassemble the bracelet you would still need a seperate screwdriver...
Pass.

nynor 01-25-2015 01:03 PM

i don't think you need to disassemble it in order to use the tools.
