Why would any choose to be a drug addict?

Why would anyone choose to be unemployed?

Would would anyone choose to be a shoplifter?

Just sayin', people make a lot of choices that are hard to understand, or that marginalize them, make their lives worse, etc. So your number one argument doesn't seem that compelling, it presumes a rationality that doesn't really exist.

(Not that there's anything wrong with it or with gaity).

In complete agreement

Why would anyone choose to be ignorant?

Why would anyone choose to be a bigot?

Why would anyone choose to pray to the spaghetti monster?

I see your point.

The point is gay people didn't choose to be gay.

Beat me to it.

^It seems the topic is pointing to him being gay, but maybe he isn't. Is it he likes woman and wants to be one? He marries a woman, divorces. Remarries another woman and has more kids.

Living in lala land.... 'if I was a woman, I'd be a lesbian too'! LOL

I understand that point (and I agree with it), I'm just saying that the "number one argument" isn't a very good argument.

Saying "no one would possibly choose to do X because X leads to bad things, being marginalized, etc." is not a logical argument. Again, because it presumes rationality.

If that were the case, you'd have no one with face tattoos, piercings, goth people, drugs, etc.

People do irrational things all the time. You see it all the time, even here. It's clearly irrational, for example, for a grown adult to post 25+ times a day on a car part seller's website, post day in and day out trying to "win teh Internets," get banned but be so desperate and lacking in control to have to come up with fake names, etc. - all for nothing. It's completely irrational.

Yet, some people do it, by choice.

If he had only joined PPOT he would have been just fine. :(

I think you're equating making a stupid choice with having no choice. Big difference, IMO.

Minolta ad opposite an article featuring the 930 Turbo in the June 1979 Playboy Magazine. How times have changed - film cameras are obsolete; Bruce has changed dramatically but the 911 design…timeless.

And the girls in that '79 Playboy are now MILFs and GILFs.

widgeon13 01-31-2015 06:30 AM

Why is there even a need to know that he (she) is making a change?

He's NOT gay, ya maroons. He just thinks he's a woman in a man's body.

BE911SC 01-31-2015 10:26 AM

Michael Jackson taught the world, or at least Hollywood, that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Any publicity helps to keep you visible in the arena in which you exist, especially for Hollywood celebs. I agree that having been a celebrity in his younger days and then having that fade may be part of his motivation in marrying the Kardashian widow and getting in on the girls' TV empire as a bit-player. Back in the game, so to speak. Either it's a cry for help/expression of his true self or he's redefining publicity-whoring and taking it to an even higher level. Lindsey Lohan eat your heart out! Anyone can be a drunk and a junkie, I'm getting a sex change!

It's either another freak show for us to feast on or he's truly a repressed female and is finally coming out and expressing his true self. If it's the latter then more power to him.

Bugs Bunny: "What an ultra-maroon!" LOL

chocolatelab 01-31-2015 06:08 PM

I think those Kardashian girls pushed him over the edge.

They made him insane.

I am not saying being gay etc is insane.

I think living in that wacky flipping world distorted his reality.
