One supposes that under blizzard conditions, a white out could occur where "snow tires" would be the only thing that one could come up with as a response. "Yep snow tires is what we need!"

It really only comes down to which brand to choose, and then the "religious" arguments ensue.

It is amazing that a person educated enough to quote Bible verses is not knowledgable enough to realize that Christians believe that the New Testament largely changed the way God instructs believers to behave. It is much like a mechanic using the manual for a '57 Chevy on a 2015 Corvette and complaining that there is something inherently flawed in the Corvette design or GM's manual. One must assume that anyone making such a case is deliberately trying to mislead for some personal reason. It is hard to understand the motivation that would liken a group that murders thousands and rapes children routinely in 2015 with a peaceful religion that hangs its hat on love and redemption. Even if one dies not believe in God, the comparison is not only ignorant, but appalling in its intentional mischaracterization and insult of the innocent.

It is amazing that this is being posted in PPOT and not in PARF.

Mostly because the PPOT folks don't mind until the argument does not go their way. These usually start out as just news (hard to note that a radical Islam group is torturing and murdering folks in the name of Islam without mentioning Islam...as it is in their name "Islamic State") until the attacks on Christians begins...generally by folks who typically do not frequent PARF.

I am equally thankful that there are folks like you in OT who will happily misrepresent other folks post for comic relief...who can dismiss the most serious problem and turn it into a personal attack on anyone who might be in the least concerned. It is almost like a BBS version of SNL.

While I truly like those who are the subject of this criticism and do not want to offend them.........I have to say I find myself in agreement with the sentiment expressed by fint.

the smart thing would be to avoid this thread but I'd be a liar if I remained silent and didn't support what fint is suggesting.
