I just finished refurbishing an old, home made log splitter. Had a guy weld up an adaptor plate for a new HF engine, mounted it, replaced decades old hydraulic fluid, fixed everything I could find that needed fixing & painted it. This thing is a brute. The rail is a piece of railroad rail turned upside down.

You have just given crack to an addict. I apologize in advance:

I built a gocart frame for racing on my track out in the back field. I used thin wall square tubing for the painted parts, and found a bunch of pre-bent chrome shelving units for the bumpers and nerf bars in a dumpster behind a resturaunt I parked behind. We ran slightly modified alcohol Briggs Raptor 5 HP motors, and twisted them about 6000 RPM.

We would start watering the track with my feild sprayer about 8:00 in the evening in the Summer, and end up putting about 1000 gallons down while working it in with atvs. After dark, a buddy had a industrial generator with a light stand that lit the whole track. After the sun went down, the track would get super sticky and we could run about 40 MPH and not lift for the corners (just slight understeer)......a whole bunch of fun and loud too !

Awesome! Make sure you keep enough gas in that thing. I just read that almost 90% of small plane crash are from running out of gas. How does that happen!

P.S. Post picks of the sweet track car.

Work stuff count?

A sample panel (more of a sample room really) for a power plant.

Put together at our shop.

Poor planning.
Pilot forgets to account for headwind, or forgets how much fuel he used last time he flew it, etc.

It's a 1978 911SC with suspension mods and a few engine tweaks. I sold it, and the car currently belongs to Magnus Walker. You can find a good video of it on Youtube!

After I've done my welding course I might start making groovy one-off ornate gates for sale. Sort of a small business. I'll call the business Bill Gates. If that's successful I'll start making foundations for houses, commercial buildings etc and I'll call that business Bill Gates foundation..

The fuel gets very low in the tank and the pump can't suck any more out so the engine stops....

If I saw you driving down the road in that truck, and this 1947 pan head was sitting in the back, I would have to shoot myself to release the jealousy.

Not 90%, but running out of gas, and flying into bad weather accounts for over 50%.
Both easily avoided. Shameful stats.

First pics are of off-the-shelf shelters crushed under 2 feet of snow. I made my own, hand-bent and welded together e- conduit, face made of old silkscreen frames welded together. had to make the hoops on my second floor and lower them down. Getting it square on a 3D decline was a *****. Not shown is the front finished with Lexan in the triangle and more wood paneling, and the master hay tarp to cover all 46 feet of it.
