I am going to miss his show.

I hope they find a suitable replacement (like Oliver, not Wilmore). No matter who they find it won't be the same; but, that doesn't inherently mean worse (the Tonight show sure seemed to survive Carson).

As to the politics of it, Stewart tends to put at least one half-attempted jab at the current admin in each show. Is it as scathing as his attacks on Fox and the Bush/Cheney Admin? No. But, it's far more evenly balanced than some other info-tainment out there (Fox and MSNBC).

Personally, I'll miss the back and forth between him and O'Reilly. They certainly don't see eye to eye on much (hehe - Stewart's short); but, their debates never degraded to name calling as it seems is so common when opposing figureheads are on a show together.

LOL! Yes, Fox pretty much has the dullard audience wrapped up.

Sadly, the audience does not perceive the editorializing couched as news. Thank you Sir, may I have another.

What a load of BS. They would be the first to tell you that they are not a "news" audience and certainly not loaded with mouth breathers.

I think you'd be surprised by the intelligence level if it was polled.

Oh wait, comedy is suppossed to be like the three stooges..

The Myth of Jon Stewart’s ‘Millennial’ Following....

The Myth of Jon Stewart

"As of 2013, The Daily Show was bringing in approximately 2 million nightly viewers. And according to an exhaustive Pew Survey from 2012, 39 percent of The Daily Show’s regular viewers are between the ages of 18 and 29. That means that approximately 780,000 millennials are regular Daily Show watchers. In the United States, there are 53 million people between the ages of 18 and 29. That means that a whopping 1.5 percent of millennials watch the Daily Show regularly! Let’s be generous and assume that, say, 5 million people watch The Daily Show even occasionally. That would still mean a paltry 1.95 million out of 53 million millennials are Stewart fans. "
