A yellow one passed me today... I have to say that is a damn fine looking car.

Why are the seats so shiny too? Guess they did one of those "Armor-all EVERYTHING" details.

Would be a stunning looking car once properly detailed

What about the X50? Yay or nay? Obviously, turbo guys like more HP. But (realistically) any downsides?

Any difference between the various years of 996TT?

X50 is nice to have if you are going to keep the car stock. A stage 1 tune on a base turbo will get you more hp than the X50 kit. If you add in hybrid turbos and you'll surpass the stock X50 by about 100hp. Stage 1 software with hybrid turbos run a little over $3k.

If you are going to mod the car, get a base as you will save on the entry price. With that being said, turbo prices are all over the place and you might be able to get a X50 for about the price of a base. If you are going to mod a X50, there are people that will buy the K24s from you.

My guess is dealer prep and then the lighting. It's a great color combination. I think it will look worlds better in natural sunlight.
