-3 here in NW Ohio.... No big deal so long as you dress for it... I just plowed the driveways for an hour on an open tractor and stayed warm.
|
Winter aaaaaaa. Worked all day yesterday up here with the heat on, pipes were o.k Came in at 9 am today, and place was frozen up, My office and bathroom are not really heated. Warmed the place up, and I hear water running under the floor.
At least it will be an easy fix. I don't mind winter, but about this time of the year, I have had enough, I can't wait to whine about mowing grass. |
Low tonight going to be -20 with 25 MPH winds, great. (But it is sunny)
|
Nice here -30C and a blizzard, about 15th in a row. I don't have a gun but if I did....or a nice piece of rope.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424023708.jpg

Here's what NOAA says at this moment around here:
"* Wind chill...30 to 45 below zero." |
Saw a few flakes earlier.
Need a lot morehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424029836.jpg |
We only got about 4-5 inches last night/this morning.....windy though. Went plowing with the town grader this morning and found quite a few 3 - 4 foot drifts. Doesn't take long to fill in a road when they look like this to start with.
1 above right now and sunny. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424031128.jpg |
It's -4 here, but it's 65 in my heated shop, the 914 is on the lift and I'working on the 3.0 six conversion

:mad: The temp dropped so fast here that...oh man I still can't believe this . My music corner is on the north side of my house and I left my cello out of it's case while I was still up and around. Well that corner got chilled so quickly that my cello top board cracked!! I'm so pizzed at myself for not putting it into it's case...man this winter just cost me some bucks!!:mad:

This is my driveway. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424038958.jpg |
[QUOTE=pete3799;8488587]That's a real town road.
This is my driveway. Looks a lot longer than mine, my driveway is about 500ft. Then I have at least 12K sq/ft of parking area to clean out, plus I blow two 4-500ft paths to my daughters chicken sheds. I switched to a blower because a couple years ago I pretty well ran out of room to push the snow. |

What a bunch of girly-men :D We've got the mental-midgets in the media telling everyone to "stay indoors", "don't go anywhere except for emergencies" with flashing red weather warning alerts "in 3D" :rolleyes: They make it sound like 0-degrees is the threshold of human exposure and something unusual in February :rolleyes: Of course these days, everything is extreme, historic, and a disaster in the making.
That said, I've been X-C skiing the last 3 days with the biggest problem being sweat management - it was dripping and freezing my eyelashes together today (too bad I didn't have a selfie-stick, I could have taken a pic and posted it to Facegram ....)! A few weeks ago, we were doing rally car testing with a high temp of 5 degrees. I guess we were too busy having fun because nobody mentioned the cold, including the mechanics, the entire day ..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424043037.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424043375.jpg |
