Went for a brief walk tonight after dinner. It was almost comfortable at -1 degree but no wind.

What a difference!

Tried to work on the 71 after clearing snow, but 6 degrees F was a bit cold. The front edge of the dash pad kept cracking off!

Last night -29C (-20F), the coldest I've seen it here was 1996, the day we moved in -32C (-26F).
These are the days I'm glad I have a heated shop and I can just stay in and play with my toys.;)

- 12 here this morning...feeling really sorry for you.

fastfredracing 02-16-2015 04:26 PM

Not sure if you are aware or not, but this is not proper snow weather attire.

ckelly78z 02-16-2015 04:48 PM

I am sick to Farcking death of shivering all day. The woodburner is going full blast, and my car has a radiator issue, so it blows warm air.

God, I am so ready to retire to spend January and February somewhere warm and not shivering.

Holy crap, where is that?

motion 02-17-2015 07:20 AM

That is crazy! The house is gone!

Scott Douglas 02-17-2015 07:55 AM

You're never gonna get that place warmed up if you keep piling the snow on top of it like that.

Should I post another beach picture to help warm you guys up?

We're NE Canada, (winterwonderland) PEI. Yes on beach picture.
Actually the snow near or on the house warms it up. However still not the answer.
It makes driving VERY difficult.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424192727.jpg

Holy crap is right, that's alot of snow to melt and make a huge flood. I don't mind snow, and big drifts, it's the subzero temps with a 25 mph wind that drives me nuts, I just can't seem to get and stay warm.

Racerbvd 02-17-2015 09:17 AM

Cold enough here that I'm wearing sox. Anyone want to meet at Malones later?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424196995.jpg

Right now I wear my ski gear so it's not that cold.

My tractor is a 1978 White 2-60, but really it is a rebadged Fiat 640DT MFWD (4X4) it's a 60hp diesel. Very popular tractor in Europe and the 2wd version is still built in Pakistan by Fiat/New Holland, so parts are cheap and plentiful.
I'm slowly rebuilding it while keeping it operational. In Fiat colours it would originally be orange as well. ;)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424052894.jpg

Mark- That's cool (pun eh'?). They are tough machines. Family biz back some years ago selling LONG and Kubota. The chassis and shroud indeed were Fiat. Many made in Romania. That particular model is interesting as there was an early generation M series Kubota (Japan) but used that chassis and sheet metal hood / grill / cowl. Also it was the LONG tractor here in the US. The LONG was originally imported gold paint chassis and painted in NC, sheet metal of the same style and painted all blue. They looked far crude and crappy but were tough. Were by far the bargains, sold much lower retail and still were profit makers for the dealer.

Snow blowers: We sold tons and tons of them. So much as a shortage of them, we took anything we could get our hands on. Took many and converted to rear 3 point mounts. Never once worried about liability and the manufacturers didn't care. It was a matter of survival for many to own and were worth more than gold. LOL
