Meh....we had a good night...supper out at my favorite place (beer centric menu and the biggest selection of brews in our small city) and the went out to a concert....Big Sugar, if you haven't heard Big Sugar, you tube em they are great!
Anyway my lady is WORTH a little spoiling every once in a while and valentines day does not upset me. I didn't get the steak.......

We went for a nice meal on Friday night because we needed a night out. Spend Saturday lounging around spending time together.

I hate it too! This year, I bought my wife a dozen long stem roses and a card. I cleaned the house and headed to work. Very busy day at work and a lot of unhappy customers and I had to discipline a couple of my workers. I was looking forward to getting him.
She was in a bad mood and there were no sparks of romance. No more roses or bs for Valentine's Day.......ever. I am off my soapbox.

Chaucer mentioned Valentine's Day numerous times as being in May. Apparently some Spanish Queen wanted to throw a party in February, and was the one who started the custom of Valentine's Day in February.
You can do that if you are a Queen, I guess. |
