Yup, now I've done it...

I've been trying (not very hard) over the past several months to get the shift knob off my Camry Hybrid, with the thought of installing one of mine. I had never bothered to search Google to see how the OEM knob comes off until last night, while researching the shifter for the Fiat Abarth and noticed that the shift knobs looked similar. It did not come off the same way, so I did a Google search and found a link to a forum question. Turns out it simply unscrews. So.....

Tapped a bushing this evening and voila!

I think this increased the cruising range by at least 10 miles!

Unscrews, the tricky bastards!

Big improvement to the car. Plus you will enjoy that extra 10mpg and faster cruising speed.

Thank you! Creating an exact replica of a Toyota Camry Hybrid has been daunting, but I am happy with the results! Even the dealer has been fooled!

It is novel to an extent.

It must. You don't even own a hybrid, and look what it's done for yours.

not many can (legitimately) claim their shoes match their knob!

How do you know I don't? And it was a joke / South Park reference. Geezus. Lighten up already.

Same as the knob I removed in my wife's Highlander.

Interchangeable parts...crafty mothers.
