Guitar dudes and dudettes, opinions on the Fender Super ChampX2

My 70's vintage Fender Bassman 100 has a great sound... however it is pretty much a one trick pony and is WAY overkill for living room and garage band playing. Looking at ye old bassman on ebay I should easily be able sell it at $600 to fund a $300 small amp.
Somehow the Fender super champ X2 popped up on my radar, tube power, 15watts (won't send my wife running out of the building) has amp-modeling.
Any of you guitar gurus ever played with one of these?

Get a power soak for your bassman. Modern Fender amps are built in Mexico and sound like it.

I have one and have used it a LOT. Band practice, blues jams and finally in my office practicing along with YouTube or iTunes. Clean channel is great. I have pedals I like to run through it so I can switch sounds pretty quick with band practice. The second channel i never used much but have started since I put on a dirty sound when Im just practicing in the office. I have had it about 2 years and I never used the fuse software. The reverb is "meh" but it's fun to play with the tremelo and such. I just bought a blues Jr and thought about selling but not just yet. I have been pretty happy with it. For the money its a lot of amp.

I know, I know... but I'm not interested in collecting vintage equipment as an investment... I want something I can use now, the bassman is way too loud for what I'm doing now.

I have one and love it. Obviously it's not some vintage collector piece but the collection of amp models and sounds that can be tweaked with your computer is impressive. If you get the model with the separate amp head and cabinet you get a 12 inch speaker vs the 10 in the combo . It is has a noticeably fuller sound IMO.

I think Fender's MIM stuff is excellent. I've owned one of their MIM Strats and one of my EVH heads is also MIM. They may not increase in value, but I stole them for dirt cheap anyway and play them like I stole them. I was minutes away from doing a trade yesterday for a Twin Reverb Reissue, but got cold feet. Then I saw a really good player at GC today trying out a Deluxe Reverb and that's now probably gonna be my next amp. If you really shop, you can get a super amp for $300 these days, locally, of course with no shipping.

I have one. Pretty good for a bedroom amp. Mine sounded significantly better through a Vox Night Train (1x12) cabinet. Nowadays I have an Egnater Tweaker doing guitar duty. Still, I yanked the Super Champ guts out and have plans to build a box for the amp itself to use it as a head.
