I always liked Living Daylights. I grew up with the goofy Roger Moore stuff so it was cool to see a more serious Bond.
I just re-watched View to a Kill the other day. That movie is laughable. Eva Green - Casino Royale. Damn. Never got around to reading the books.. Whats a good start? |

This is where Fleming wrote his 12 novels and 2 short story Bond Books. One per year from 1953 on. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1425739483.jpg
Dr. No was filmed in and around here at Ocha Rios. The old potash plant plays a part in the movie and Dunne River falls beach where Ursula Andress walks out of the ocean. |

Maybe my mind has gone...
Dr No (Sean Connery as James Bond) 1962....Casino Royale (David Niven as Sir James Bond) 1967...by which time SC had done From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball and You only Live Twice... So was Niven the first Bond? The closest character to Fleming himself perhaps... |

It was 4 or 5 decades until they got the rights to the Casino Royale tale for Daniel Craig. I believe Fleming had sold the rights to CRoyale. Niven is seldom credited as first Bond in any book or movie reviews. Just my opinion. |
David Niven and Peter Sellers were ''James Bond'' in a spoof. I thought it was terrifically witty.

It's the 924 of the Bond movies.

Diamonds Are Forever
Dr. No Goldfinger I like Daniel Craig, more than Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. But nobody beats Sean Connery as James Bond. Daniel Craig's Bond is more like Sean Connery's than any of the others, but that's not saying much. |
