Anyone know vintage Delta woodworking tools?

I bought a Delta-Milwaukee 6" jointer-planer at the yardsale across the street. It's in good shape, just a little bit of rust on the ways under the fence that comes off easy with WD40. Extra set of knives. Funky stand, and the motor is a replacement.

The two sn#'s I can find are NJ225 (on the base of the machine) and NJ227 (on the fence)

(edit- just found another SN# cast into the underside of the horizontal table. NJ 202)

I checked online, but my google-fu is weak today, so I'm reaching out the brethren de Pelican for recommendations for a good Vintage Delta Website. I would like to find an original stand and some sort of owners manual but I kind of need to know for sure what I have.

Seems to run well, motor is smooth, strong. Needs an overall cleanup. Heavy as hell. I thought it was bolted down when I first tried to lift it....

(Paid 50 for it, Pretty sure I did ok...Also got a Craftsman 1/2 hp block grinder for 35. I know I did ok with that.)

Love it! I have a buddy that refurbs this sort of thing. He gets a lot of stuff from ereplacementparts.com. I think you need to make your stand. Cool find!

I taught High School woodworking starting in 1976 That jointer looks like one from almost every school shop I worked in. I would guess 1950/60,maybe as old as 1930,s looking at the tag
Often labelled Rockwell Delta around here ,I don,t recall the Milwaukee connection.
Solid reliable equipment , like Snap-On wrenches (unlike the offshore brand Snap-off )

Nice old machine. Jump onto the "woodweb" forum and ask.
Delta, Rockwell, Porter Cable are all gone now. Machinery division was sold of to China a few years back. Good news is that all the bearings, etc are standard issue, so roll up your sleeves and figure it out.

That looks like a typical 6" bench top jointer. Cast iron, heavy and sturdy. You have to make a bench or stand for it. I m sure an old fashion machine stand will work and that little guy should be belt driven? Again when I started looking at this stuff, it was back in the 80s and it has always been Delta/Rockwell but have never seen a Delta Milwaukee. That doesn't mean anything as long as the table isn't warp fence straight, that's all it counts. YOu have a great lil' jointer there.

Delta was founded in 1919 in a garage (surprise, surprise), by a Mr. Tautz in.... Milwaukee. Hence, the badge. That jointer is probably from around the 1940's (early)....

BTW, there were two stands, a cast iron and steel. The steel was more open.
