I have had nothing but trouble with mine.
Kind of like chewing gum and cat hair.

Six months of dehydrated food, 20,000 gallon pool, RV with a 5,500 watt generator and 80 gallons of gas, 750 rounds of 40 and 500 rounds of 9, plus a list of all the Mormans in the neighborhood.

A lot of people just believe that they will lean on their friends, or rely on the neighbors to keep them fed and safe.........ugh, NO !
I think you need all of the stuff you listed plus a few more items as follows; -empty buckets for storing anything you may forage or find -toilet paper for obvious reasons -portable water filtration system to make water drinkable -several lbs of flat pasta, stores easily, good carbs. -freeze dried trinity (beans, corn, carrots) for making soup. -freezer bags, storing anything. -supply of dry firewood, charcoal, propane -full first aid kit -spare eyeglasses -a gun and ample ammo for everyone present -wilderness/urban survival guide -gross of lighters/candles, hurricane lamps, kerosene lantern with fuel -fishing line, paracord, rope for various uses. -lightweight tarps for various uses -aluminum foil, clear plastic wrap....countless uses -STORE ALL OF THIS IN THE EMPTY BUCKETS WITH LIDS FOR WATERPROOF STORAGE, AND TO GRAB WHEN IN A HURRY ! The stuff I have has a 25 year shelf life and is pretty good. I've tried some. A whole lot better than the c-rations I had in the USMC from the Korean War. $500 and I have stuff with peace of mind for years.

Your list is good, a start but your only thinking a few weeks tops. Gotta go further. You will need shells, 12 gauge #8, cases and cases. Arrows - lots of arrows, and a few replacement bow strings. Alcohol - Everclear is the best. Use as a disinfectant but also to trade. Think of high energy foods - seeds. Lots of seeds and nuts. They last forever practically. Plenty of matches as well. Sugar will be a great trade item. Its overlooked but will keep forever as well and it can be used for bait. There are a few more but I would then limit my ability to thrive if I was to give up all...

Actually when you live in a rural area, you probably have enough on hand to last a while. We have a pantry with non perishable items, a ten thousand gallon water tank, propane, etc. Lots around here have get away bags or packs ready to go if need be. Almost everybody has an assortment of arms and ammo in stock. My get away bag is my back pack with some survival supplies, 1K rounds of .22 for hunting small game, and some larger caliber to reach out to longer distances if need be. I figure we can survive in place for some time, but there will come a time (in an extreme scenario) when you have to move and start living any way you can by any means you can.

and for what its worth, the soap you listed is ok but I would make my own using boiled ashes (lye) mixed with fat from a kill.

Too bad ours were all lost in a boating accident. Every single one, gone to the briny depths!
