There are a couple folks here that think anything I post is stupid but I also have a few that think my [posts are 5 star worthy as well. I guess you can't please everyone all of the time...

I gave this thread a one-star rating, just for the novelty of it. The very next thread I post to, I'll a five-star, just for the heck of it.
And then I'll go back to ignoring the system.

To Tell the truth I have not ever given a star away, I do not even understand them or their importance if any.
I notice some by my last thread...(conversation about the 5th) I have no clue.............

The rating system is only good if it is being used all the time and by most of us, then you could see at a glance if the topic was useful to most people, right now it appears to be very hit and miss, therefore more of a novelty.
I'll give you a 5 star MD to even out the "haters!"

I guess my "Star Rating" is Zero, as I have never given a star.
Like many others here have stated, I never notice them and am somewhat surprised that anyone actually pays attention to them. What's next, a "Like" button? Best Les

It speaks volumes that you worry so much what your threads fetch in a non-representative polling system. You really do come here for attention, don't you? I just gave this thread one star, just for that!
 You are hit or miss in my book in terms of threads you start. The sheer volume of started topics probably drags the quality down. 80% of them are not very interesting. I admit, I likely one-starred a few over the years even though I do rarely use that voting system ...  G |

I am trying to find the answer with context here.
It makes people upset to get a "star", yet it means its popular subject, , yet people dont want a star? Very Confusing .

The ones who give single star ratings are just trolls anyway....lol.
So their vote is meaningless anyway. If the system was transparent - we would see that. But it isn't - thus the rating system is defunct. Hey Mike - you're one of the good guys - I would never rate your threads anything less than 5 stars!
