So Do You Have The Guts To Admit Your Star Rating?
 

I wonder how many would like their name attached the star rating they give posts? How about if by a click of the mouse you could see who rated you? Would you vote different?

I bet so...a few weak, cowards with hate here...

I've never given a star here, 2 stars, 3 stars or 4 stars, not even 5 stars. I don't see the use.

Somebody one stars me, I'll friggin burn their house down.

I didn't know we even had a star system, and I honestly could care less. I don't type things to be approved by my peers, I type things that I feel, if that offends someone or doesn't agree with their beliefs, so be it, no skin off my azz !

Maybe the one star raters are from the Lone Star State? ;)

Everyone gets a star today. There are no losers.

When I grew up, second place was just the first loser. Now we are so weak that we crave validation in everything. Sad really.

Honestly... I never even noticed the star function until people started commenting on them.

I presume it is a standard feature the comes with the BBS software package.

Agree. What one person thinks is helpful others may think is stupid. YMMV.

There are a couple folks here that think anything I post is stupid but I also have a few that think my [posts are 5 star worthy as well. I guess you can't please everyone all of the time...

I gave this thread a one-star rating, just for the novelty of it. The very next thread I post to, I'll a five-star, just for the heck of it.

And then I'll go back to ignoring the system. :)

The douche bag parking thread, an awesome on IMHO, has only a 3 star rating. A crime is being perpetrated.

Seriously, I really don't understand the value of the rating system. Could you explain it to me? I am not kidding in the least.

The rating system is only good if it is being used all the time and by most of us, then you could see at a glance if the topic was useful to most people, right now it appears to be very hit and miss, therefore more of a novelty.

I'll give you a 5 star MD to even out the "haters!"

Sometimes I accidentally bump it on my iPhone. And once my daughter tapped it. So if I gave you a 1-star, sorry.

I guess my "Star Rating" is Zero, as I have never given a star.
Like many others here have stated, I never notice them and am somewhat surprised that anyone actually pays attention to them.

It speaks volumes that you worry so much what your threads fetch in a non-representative polling system. You really do come here for attention, don't you? I just gave this thread one star, just for that! :D

You are hit or miss in my book in terms of threads you start. The sheer volume of started topics probably drags the quality down. 80% of them are not very interesting. I admit, I likely one-starred a few over the years even though I do rarely use that voting system ... :p

The whole star thing is akin to how many "likes" someone has. Juvenile. A person must be very insecure to worry about how many stars your thread has. Not everyone is going to like you so why whine about it?

The ones who give single star ratings are just trolls anyway....lol.

So their vote is meaningless anyway. If the system was transparent - we would see that.

But it isn't - thus the rating system is defunct.
