What song is this?

I'm trying to find the name of an easy-listening instrumental song from the 60's, but having a heck of a time figuring out how to search. I found an online keyboard, so I can figure out some of the notes, but my Google-fu is not up to the task past that.

The main notes are:
D1, C1, B, G; Bb, A, G, F

Anybody know what this is?

HardDrive 04-14-2015 10:31 AM

Thats really not a lot to go on.

Early/Late 60? What part of the country did you live in? Did you have it on an album? Was it played on the radio?

Amail 04-14-2015 10:37 AM

It was on the radio in the mid sixties, so it's probably early to mid 60's. I kind of group it with Theme from A Summer Place by Percy Faith.

Oh Haha 04-14-2015 10:59 AM

that's a toughie.

I found this site that lets you sample the songs. Maybe one will strike a chord(get it?) with you.

For the win!

That was pretty good.

Oh Haha 04-14-2015 11:17 AM

Cool.

I recognized the song as soon as the symphony started.

Next?

Amail 04-14-2015 11:41 AM

Not Sir with Love, not Midnight Cowboy (much as I like that song), not Musicbox Dancer. This is an entirely instrumental song, no lyrics.

Couldn't hear the sound bite on my computer but Love is Blue was by Paul Mauriat back in the 60's

That's not it either, but you're on the right track.

No it's not that song. But sadly the singer has just died. I love that song!
