What song is this?
I'm trying to find the name of an easy-listening instrumental song from the 60's, but having a heck of a time figuring out how to search. I found an online keyboard, so I can figure out some of the notes, but my Google-fu is not up to the task past that.
The main notes are: D1, C1, B, G; Bb, A, G, F Anybody know what this is? |
Thats really not a lot to go on.
Early/Late 60? What part of the country did you live in? Did you have it on an album? Was it played on the radio? |
It was on the radio in the mid sixties, so it's probably early to mid 60's. I kind of group it with Theme from A Summer Place by Percy Faith.
|
that's a toughie.
I found this site that lets you sample the songs. Maybe one will strike a chord(get it?) with you. Listen Easy: Hits from the 60's - Various Artists | Songs, Reviews, Credits, Awards | AllMusic |

That was pretty good. |
Cool.
I recognized the song as soon as the symphony started. Next? |
Not Sir with Love, not Midnight Cowboy (much as I like that song), not Musicbox Dancer. This is an entirely instrumental song, no lyrics.

I got to 39 seconds before having to turn that noise off....to each their own, I get it. What impresses me most about this pelican roost is the fact that somebody actually figured this out!!! So cool!

"WELL DONE!!! Proving yet again, that PPOT is the source of all things...ahh....err...uhh...umm..." AWFUL! I hate THAT SONG!! It's worse than the theme from Dr Zhivago - which is pretty ****** awful. |

I spent an hour making up silly songs on the sequencer. Actually laughed out loud to myself at one that sounded like elephants marching.:p
