Glad you are okay, or close to it. Would hate to lose you.
|
Thank you for sharing!!! I don't ride, but there are so many other things you can apply this experience to. Funny (not really) how we too often let that little voice rationalize decisions for us...
|
Not good. Ouch. Hope you get better pdq..
Guy |
Glad you are mostly ok. ATGATT!
|
Glad you hit a gap in the trees, instead of a sign or tractor trailer.
Does this mean the wife is going to ban you from driving the RX-7? Maybe limit you to pickup trucks, tractors and vehicles designed to be airborne. |
Wow...admittedly I ride with an open face helmet much of the time. Guessing you were walloped by a bird or cheeseburger from an overpass. Glad you're ok.
|
Glad you are ok, Paul.
My knee will pop out one in a while which is painful but I can put it back in. I can't imagine the hip. Yikes! |
That sucks about your dad's bike Paul but yes - you were lucky it was not worse.
Best wishes for a full mend! |
Yeah, glad you are o.k. We cannot afford to loose any of the good guys here. It all happens in a split second.
There was a guy we used to ride with as kids. We always wore full gear, but I guess he was warming up his bike real quick before he suited up . He was just cruising through the fields short shifting , and somehow lost it, and smacked his head off a tree branch. He was not right for a long time. Hoping for a speedy recovery . |
Yikes Paul! Glad you are relatively OK!
Thanks for the reminder to not go ride the bike I bought to flip. All I've got is a helmet, and with my luck I'd end missing the flesh off my ass! |
Good to hear you are still walking and talking. Sounded very skittish.
|
Hope you are feeling better soon.
|
Forgot to monkey roll didn't you............Bummer about the bike but glad you're OK.
|
Sorry about your kerfuffle with the flying bug bomb but glad you are ok. I still own a few bikes but have not ridden in years. I caught a yellow jacket in the cheek once while riding somewhat over the posted limit up in the canyons. He stung me good and I was lucky to get the bike stopped, get my helmet off, and thank the good Lord for saving my sorry ass from a 400' dropoff around the next bend. Just not my time yet.
Saw a kid riding his crotch rocket in shorts and flip flops last week. That's not gonna end well. Everybody who rides knows you are going down at some point. Not if but when. Stay safe and wear the gear guys. |
Glad you're okay, sorry for your loss though. Having a 'Dad's' bike myself, I'm sure it'll be sorely missed.
|
Did loud pipes save your life?
jk Paul I didn't even know you rode. The first ride of the year for guys who only take the bike out a dozen times can be brutal. For God's sake be careful. Jim |
Paul, I'm glad you're ok. Thank you for putting this up. Good reminder to go out fully suited and booted.
|
Paul if you need ANYTHING call me, I am right down the road, please do not hesitate.
|
Maybe now you'll get that Jeep we discussed. It's a slightly safer way to enjoy open air motoring. Get well soon!
|
Yikes, but glad to hear no major injuries. Get well soon.
