I tried the biggest version from Costco a while ago. I was impressed with the construction and the flexibility. I ended up returning it because it wasnt tall enough to reach the ceiling in my foyer. I can see one of these being very useful on stairs.
I was a bit of a noob when I bought it, I didnt realize how much less the usable length is. |
I'll have to check the sticker when I get home but I don't think they're made here any more.

Thanks for posting this. I need a ladder to paint our two story foyer. How do you like the Werner?
|
We got a Werner 17 footer when we moved down to NC. It is a neighborhood favorite for borrowing. It is easy to use, but is a little heavy, maybe 30-35 lbs. Very solid though.

I have an old wooden 6 ' step ladder I inherited from my wifes grandmother when she passed away. I call it " the widow maker " :D It must move/sway 2-3 inches in ANY direction when you get on it.........I'm sure this Werner will be much better ! |
Have the Little Giant for home..great ladder, strong versatile but yes heavy.
|
I had one (generic) and loved it, as everyone said super flexible but kind of heavy.
I guess someone else love it too... it disappeared. |
Used the ladder for the first time today it's as solid as a rock ! Best $116.00 I've spent in a while. I had two garage doors installed today the installers asked if they could use the ladder. After using it they said they would go buy one. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone.

Good for you...great buy.
I have one...solid construction but damn heavy...haven't used it in yet 4 yrs. |
Werner here. About 10 years old. Has spent a lot of time in the rain (CA) and is as good as new. I'm impressed. I do have it in the garage now. It is beefy, on the heavy side and I use the different settings, I.E. make a small scaffolding when cutting hedges, a V when getting stuff from a shelf and full extension when cleaning gutters or getting onto the 1 story roof.

Yesterday I had to add some 2 x 12's for the header above a 18 ' wide garage door. I had the ladder in the step ladder mode. I was able to slide the 2 x 12 through the ladder to hold the lumber as I cut it to length ! So it doubled as a work surface I was impressed with that also.

This is the one that I have...including the "work platform'.
