Unbelievable
In Nov. 2000 a Mr Merv Granzinski bought a 32 foot Winnebago Motorhome. On the way home he took it on the freeway and set the cruise control at 70 mph. GOT UP AND WENT IN THE BACK TO MAKE A CUP OF COFFEE. Needless to say the Winne crashed. Mr Granzinski sued Winnebago for not telling him in the handbook he couldn't do this. He won a judgement of 1.75 Million and a new Winnebago. Winnebago has since changed their handbook.

That's remarkable...
that's why we have warnings, folks. You know there must be some reason that curling irons warn not to use in the bath tub... ...i say get rid of all warnings and let Natural Selection run its course.

Urban legend alert!
This one has been floating around for decades. Different names and motorhomes, but similar stories. http://www.snopes.com/autos/techno/cruise.htm

Thanks Chris. I've heard that story go around for nearly 20 years now. The one I liked the most was "the husband lets the wife drive. He tells her about the auto pilot feature (cruise control), leaves her to drive as he goes back to get a beer. He closed the refer door to see his wife standing next to him." The rest is history!
