The latest stop for the wandering Groesbeck Hurricane is Tulsa, Oklahoma!!!
Howdy Yall!!! ![]() Hopefully, this will be the last stop! Just got my final papers today, now I have to find a short term place to live! Preferably with a little garage which is the right size to hold my 911. They are suggesting a Resident's Inn. I have a friend living there right now and she loves it. How about any other quick ideas??? Wife is suggesting a camper/van down by the river. No idea where she gets these ideas... ![]() ![]() Wifey is starting her job hunt now! It will be WONDERFUL to once again live in the same place/country!!! Oh, and have to meet with some realtors to find one I like. Too much to do, too short a time frame to complete it in! Let me know if you know of any good short term rental places and wish us luck!!!

We lived in Tulsa for four years and to this day my wife and I agree, it's the best place we've ever lived.
I owned a TR-6 in those days and was thrilled to find that Green Country Triumphs and Greasy Hands Garage were there and made some life long friends. Clean city, big enough to have everything you need but small and safe enough to enjoy. Mountains nearby and an overall affordable and enjoyable place. You did well. |

Tulsa is by far one of my favorite towns I have had the pleasure to spend time in. It's a small big city.

Wouldn't suggest a camper down by the river, unless you want to play poker with a bunch of homeless dudes at night.
The only realtor I know that's worth a crap is Steve Canada. I've never used him personally but people that I know have used him and done well. He's also a Porsche guy, FWIW. Try to stay in the south end of town if you buy or rent. The Residence Inn is in a safe part of town, although it's in the busiest part of town for things like chain restauarants, the mall, etc. Lots of traffic there. JR |

Congrats! I've been to Tulsa a few times and always liked it. Very pretty region, lots of nice lakes and scenic areas.

Don't know, Wife is REALLY pushing for camper down by the river.... My poker skills are a bit rusty, might have to think hard about that one
![]() ![]() Paul, Still same system, different company. Playing for the Engineers this time! No longer a requirement to go down and play with the natives! Not really a promotion, but there is a greatly improved possibility. And there is a rather nice pay rise so that will be good for us. I WILL like the work better and might feel like I have actually contributed more to society on this path. That has been an issue on the past several assignments. JR, I will check out Mr. Canada. Hmmm, related to Cody? I have seen many properties I liked to the south and going up towards Bartelsville as well. Lots to check out. Well, I have a few days to obtain housing and then a few months to locate permanent. We have been through Tulsa many times. I have stayed there a couple. Always seemed like a nice place to live with lots of recreation nearby! I still have to make it out to the Viking Runes out east at Heavener. So much to do in the area but we really do like the outdoors!
