What are you getting your wife for Mother's Day?

i seriously needs some ideas. I got nuthin'. Wifey doesn't like flowers, jewelry or candies. She likes practical gifts. A couple of years ago, I bought her a Dyson vacuum cleaner for Mothers Day or Valentines. Believe it or not, she loved it.

I think I will let her sleep inside

My wife is practical too, but do like a flower or two once every ten years or so. I once bought her a gift card for Target. She loved it. Other then that, I got nuthin' also.

No wife but I always get my mum flowers, perfume and dinner at a nice restaurant.

She's 76 this year. What a legend... Nothing slows her down.

We don't really succomb to the Hallmark Holidays, and after 27 years of bliss, we don't need constant reassurance through flowers, gifts, or cards.

Good excuse to buy her flowers. I'll probably get the kids (4, 7, 11) to either maker her something or let them buy her something small with their money.

Nothing. She told way back when "I'm your wife, not your mother".

My wife is impossible to buy gifts for. Flowers every now and then seems to be fine. I think for Mothers Day, I'll take her for a hike in the mountains. She'll love that.

A nice card - anything else would be overkill.

I'll go get the grandsons and we'll make brunch together for their mom and grandmother.
About all the boys can cook are pancakes, but I buy some good pastries and mix up some mean Screwmosas. Some fruit, a pastry, and a pitcher of Screwmosas make the moms happy. The only problem is they have to show their appreciation for boy's efforts by eating pancakes. My biggest job is stopping them from making dozens of them. Once they get started they don't want to stop.

Your wife is not your mother. It is Mother's Day, not Wife's day.

Many of our wives are the mothers of our children. Apparently that needed to be clarified.

We got my wife a big green egg. She loves to cook and we'd been thinking about getting one anyway. This was the excuse we needed.

Just came yesterday, a nice teak wood chaise lounge with fancy green cushion... For when she needs some mom-time.

Last year was her first mother's day, so Sauce Jr and I made a cement thing with his footprint, dated it and placed it under a new cut-leaf maple

Mine is not a flower person either. Spa days expire unused. I'm not mushy, so Hallmark cards get laughed at. Last year I got lazy, just ran into Nordstrom last minute and grabbed some soft cotton pajamas. It caught me by surprise and she loves them. Try that. If she likes dogs...get some with puppies on em.

She expects something special for mother's day, not the same old same old.
