Drone sniping

How would you take out a drone invading your space and potentially taking video of your family? Rock, air rifle? 12 ga is a sure bet but LEO will give a nuclear wedgie. Thoughts?

The only recourse is go outside and find who is flying it. They are in sight of it.

You don't own your airspace. So you have no right to shoot down a drone flying over your house.

Hey, accidents happen.

I'd counter that with a right to privacy, I believe. With a daughter and a pool and a scoped pellet rifle, I'm taking it down.

How do you know the drone is photographing you or her?

Go ahead, shoot it down, then call the police and confess. Let us know what happens.

Drone doesn't own the airspace either. So if I feel like throwing things in the air in my backyard and the drone happens to be in the way, oh well:rolleyes:

Why are these people flying these over people's pools? What the hell is up with that?

Porsche-O-Phile 05-07-2015 12:39 PM

Long butterfly net. Grab it. Huck it into a barrel. "What drone"? If someone's stupid enough to come looking for it you know who needs a whoopin'

M.D. Holloway 05-07-2015 12:49 PM

Bet Seahawk would have something to say about this.

Part it out

Wife and I saw that article last night and discussed the solution. Don't care what the point of the flyover would be, but it would be a goner if it lingered and I could draw a bead with my b-b-gun.

I'd do from behind cover. Many drones with cameras are transmitting the files as they fly. I wouldn't want to be on camera with a gun when it "went down"......

Nope, shoot it down and if the flyer comes to complain, it provides a nice opportunity for a conversation.

Pull!!

dan88911 05-07-2015 02:25 PM

Get a drone of your own and shoot the intruder drone down.
I recently read that the police in India and South Africa are using drones as crowd and riot control.
Spraying pepper and/or paintballs to mark the bad guys. I also saw story about graffiti vandals using drones to tag in odd locations.

Drone on drone dog fights my be in our future.
