I just saw an article about Barrow Alaska where the sun rose for the last time for 2.5 months on Monday, it will not set again until mid August and then only for an hour or so. Unfortunately, the opposite is true during the Winter where the sun sets in December, and doesn't rise again until almost March. I can't imagine getting that much snow, AND not seeing the sun for so long......talk about appreciating Spring.
