Mad Max: Fury Road
Epic. Thats all I can say.
Hats off to George Miller. Long time since I've seen a movie that delivered. Tom Hardy continues to impress. Link to the vehicles page, pretty neat. MAD MAX: FURY ROAD - Vehicle Showcase Site

I really, really hate to ask, but is there anything in the movie that the ladies would enjoy as well? Could a guy take a date and not appear that he was picking a movie just for himself?

I was explaining to my son that there was an original Mad Maxx in the 70s - he couldn't find it on Netflix. This is #4 right?

First one (came out in '79) was called "Mad Max". Second was "The Road Warrior" Third was "Beyond Thunderdome" "Fury Road" is the 4th. Thanks for the post , NC. I was going to go see it but came down with a sore throat so maybe later in the week I'll go. Can't wait! ![]()

Yes, the movie kicked ass.
Loved the original when I was a kid. One of those movies that sticks with you. The opening alone is amazing considering what they had to work with. BTW, a couple friends of mine put this thing together. Lots of fun..

not very good, IMHO
I kept thinking, "Who are these people and why should I care?"
Why did she have an arm off? What was with the gang of dusty Albinos? Who was the leader of the peasants? What was with the little guy in the chair? Who were the preggers and why? What were those bumps under the skin of the bad guys? What was with the silver paint? Why all the LHD drive American cars in Australia? Seemed like the bad guys would stop shooting when the goods guys wanted to talk for a couple of minutes and vice versa. How did they get back thru the pass without the m/c baddies getting them? What happened to the bad guys at the end? Where were they? A little more character and plot, a lot less "movie magic" car chases. A Stinker. Watch the 1979 movie. |

how did they make it back thru the pass that was blown up into a huge pile of rubble. all gone when they came back.. really did like the vehicles. gave me some ideas for my next rat rod.. not sure how much of it was cgi but stuntmen are a wild and crazy breed

Have all 3 previous movies memorized. .......this was a disappointment for the max movies. ......
The appeal imo of all the others is the fact that they were fairly realistic and believable. .......fury road? Not even in the same class as the other movies.....it had potential but someone missed the boat. ....

Just saw it. Too violent for the wife, she walked out.
Mad Max turned up to 11, without Mel. |

Well, I'm eager to go. I'm not looking for Shakespeare, just entertainment.
Tonight I saw Avengers: Age of Ultron. I really liked it. It was entertaining. It wasn't deep or destined for cinematic greatness, but it was enjoyable.

This is funny and seems to happen so often in movies these days. In 'Fury' the Germans decided to give a few moments of peace so the good guys could have some quiet conversation.
