I used to be a big BATMAN fan myself. I enjoy the dark, edginess of the character and the story lines. (In the comic books, not the movies/campy TV series!)
I stopped reading BATMAN after the Azrael storyline. Spidey's cool too. -Z.

Apocalypse is pretty cool
Basically there's a huge earthquake that hits Gotham, everything is levelled, the batcave is destroyed. And Gotham is closed off from the outside world. It has a lot to do with Oracle. Im also a huge fan of the Frank Miller stuff as well. If you really want to see some cool stuff, check out anything by Alan Moore. I especially reccommend Watchmen or V for Vendetta. I've also always loved the "what if's" that come out once in a while. I cant remember the name, but there was a pretty good one where Superman wasnt raised by the Kents, but grew up in "da hood" and became an NBA superstar, lol.
