Things you would like changed on the Forum
 

1) The star rating system, bounce it
2) The OP should be able to delete nasty responses to For Sale and WTB ads. Responders could appeal to mods if the response was valid.
3) Eliminate post counts
4) Ban Politics and Religion

Ban PARF?
I assume you were not here before PARF was created, trust me, leave that zoo of closed minded arguments alone, and let it stay in that corral, You do not want it running wild and free

1) The only time I notice the star rating is when someone mentions it.
2) Mods are unpaid volunteers, why make their lives more difficult because adults can't play nice.
3) They serve a purpose, makes it easier to understand why someone asks a question that has been answered 1,000 x's before
4) See #2.

I like it the way it is. Post count lets me see how much of my life I've spent here, makes me laugh! :D

Ban people that cry "PARF" all the time in the regular OT. Just ignore the thread.

Some forums have an ignore thread feature. THAT would be useful.

I used to visit as car forum started by a friend of mine a long time ago.
He started it up and over time, others became moderators and helped keep it running.
He basically shared it with the mods, let them have free rein so to speak, and guess what happened? They STOLE it from him.
Took all the software, locked him out.

THAT is what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum.

What I would like to see changed in Pelican Parts Forums:

1. The people who continue to behive like children all of a sudden grown up and behave like grown adults, or find another forum where they fit in better. (Romper Room or clubsi come to mind...)
2. Heated debates are intelligent conversations between people who are on opposing sides of an argument, where the outcome is an undertanding that no one will ever see eye to eye, but where both sides have learned more about the subject matter being discussed.
3. People stop jeopardizing this board and refrain from posting nudity and objectionable material.
4. People stop complaining about not being able to post nudity and objectionable material. This is Pelican Parts, not some porn site for crying out loud!
5. All the spam bots leave.

I believe all of these wishes can come true. I also believe in Santa Claus, unicorns, and the tooth fairy...
